Some people complain about the area, but I have always enjoyed living here.
Let me tell you why…
- The community is growing.
- There is a selection of good churches.
- The Flint Hills.
- Manhattan Christian College basketball.
- It’s easy to get to work.
- Kansas State University.
- Quality public schools.
- Clean air, except during Spring burning.
- K-State football.
- Slow-paced during the summer.
I’m sure that you have your own set of reasons why you enjoy living in Riley County. Why don’t you share them?
- Dan
I’d agree with all of your ’10 reasons,’ and would add a couple more.

There is nothing like breaking into Spring in the valley of the Flint Hills.
