And such was the scene following the K-State v. KU basketball game on Valentine’s Day, where K-State came out victorious.

…and the crowd rushed the floor.

Riley County is home to some great football – whether it be high school or K-State.

I had a chance to be at the K-State vs Texas A&M game last Saturday and snapped this pic.

The stands were pretty full. The game play reminded me of the old Bill Snyder teams. It was very entertaining!

If you are a fan of college baseball, Manhattan is the place to be.

As k-statesports.com called it, it was a “historic season” for the K-State Wildcat baseball team.

Similarly, the Manhattan Christian College Crusaders won their Region and took 5th in the NCCAA-II World Series.

I roomed with a K-State baseball player many, many years ago while at college. The program was looked at as second-rate and struggled for funding. Hardly anyone attended the games, or even knew there was a baseball team. The times have changed at K-State.

Congratulations to the ‘Cats for a great baseball season!

I know some of the players for the MCC baseball team. The team is exciting to watch and is improving each year. MCC hosted their regional tournament and it was held at K-State’s Tointon Family Stadium. Pretty cool that resources can be shared.

Now if only the KC Royals would do the same.

Gotta love baseball….

Some people complain about the area, but I have always enjoyed living here.

1. The community is growing.
2. There is a selection of good churches.
3. The Flint Hills.
4. Manhattan Christian College basketball.
5. It’s easy to get to work.
6. Kansas State University.
7. Quality public schools.
8. Clean air, except during Spring burning.
9. K-State football.
10. Slow-paced during the summer.
